NAIC Announces Formation of Task Force to Examine Health Reform’s Impact on Health Insurance Agents
Today the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) announced the establishment of a new task force to address potential adverse impacts the new medical loss ratios (MLR) may have on the role of health insurance agents. On November 22, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued new guidelines regarding the implementation of the MLR.
The task force will be chaired by Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty and will report to the NAIC’s Executive Committee.
