Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Announces a Public Hearing for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBS) Proposed Plan of Reorganization

What:

The Office will conduct a public hearing to discuss the proposed Plan of Reorganization for Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) of Florida (d/b/a Florida Blue). This request would allow BCBS/Florida Blue to reorganize as a stock insurer under a mutual holding company.

BCBS/Florida Blue is the largest domestic health insurer in the state of Florida with more than 1.3 million covered lives combined for the individual, small and large group markets.

 A copy of the draft agenda  is available for review.

Consumers and other interested parties are welcome to submit comments about this proposal by sending an email to:
BCBShearing@floir.com.
 
The Florida Channel will be streaming the hearing live online via its website.
