Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Announces Long-Term Care Public Rate Hearings

What:

The Office will conduct two public hearings to receive public comment on the proposed statewide average rate increases for specific long-term care insurance products sold by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (“MetLife”) and Unum Life Insurance Company of America (“Unum”).

Metlife's hearing will begin first at 1:00 p.m. and will be followed by the Unum hearing at 4:00 p.m. 
 
The Florida Channel will stream the hearing live online via its websiteA video recording of the hearing will be posted to the Office website at a later date.

·         Press packets will be available at the registration table. 
·         Wi-Fi connection is provided throughout the conference center (log-in instructions will be provided on-site)
·         Room access for set-up begins at 8:30 a.m.
·         Equipment must be removed from the room at the conclusion of the hearing.
·         Reserved seating designated for “press only” will be available in the second row and on the left side of the center aisle.
