Cabinet Affairs
The Cabinet Affairs Office is responsible for
coordinating the presentation of proposed administrative
rules and performance measures before the Governor and
Cabinet.
The Florida Cabinet consists of the Governor, Attorney
General, Chief Financial Officer and Commissioner of
Agriculture and Consumer Services. The members of the
Cabinet serve as the agency head for the Financial Services
Commission (FSC), which houses the Office of Insurance
Regulation and the Office of Financial Regulation. You can
also view the FSC's statutory authority.
The FSC appointed Kevin McCarty as Florida's Commissioner of Insurance
Regulation in January 2003.
The Governor and Cabinet meet bi-weekly in the Cabinet Room of the Capitol
Building.
