Cabinet Affairs

The Cabinet Affairs Office is responsible for coordinating the presentation of proposed administrative rules and performance measures before the Governor and Cabinet.

The Florida Cabinet consists of the Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer and Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  The members of the Cabinet serve as the agency head for the Financial Services Commission (FSC), which houses the Office of Insurance Regulation and the Office of Financial Regulation. You can also view the FSC's statutory authority.

The FSC appointed Kevin McCarty as Florida's Commissioner of Insurance Regulation in January 2003.

The Governor and Cabinet meet bi-weekly in the Cabinet Room of the Capitol Building.
