2008 Filing and Compliance Symposium

The '08 Symposium will be held May 22 & 23, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. This is an educational Symposium to inform industry home office compliance staff in life and health and property and casualty about recent Florida legislation and how companies can get their filings approved easier and faster. We will discuss new markets and common questions about Florida regulations. We expect between 400 and 500 attendees this year.

For the first time we are inviting Florida's 220,000 agents to join us in an informal environment and learn what companies go through to get new products to them. We want to get the home office representatives, the agents and the regulators together in an informal environment to talk and learn about common issues and new ideas.

We are also for the first time offering vendor space. We have 25 spaces now for vendors to display their services and products.

The staff of the Office of Insurance Regulation believe that the Symposium will be informative and a special opportunity.
