Tallahassee – The Florida State University College of Business, Department of Risk Management and Insurance, under the direction of the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office), has prepared a report addressing the feasibility and cost-benefit analysis of a potential Florida Sinkhole Insurance Facility and other matters related to the affordability and availability of sinkhole insurance.

 

The study was prepared pursuant to Section 627.7077(1) Florida Statutes, and was conducted in consultation with the State Board of Administration and the Florida Geological Survey.  Interested parties may review the report's findings and recommendation on the Office's website at http://www.floir.com/siteDocuments/Sinkholes/Sinkhole_Study_042005.pdf
