Florida Office Of Insurance Regulation Sets Public Hearing For New Hampshire Insurance Company

Tallahassee – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled a public hearing for a proposed 22 percent statewide average increase for homeowners insurance filed by New Hampshire Insurance Company. The requested rate increase was not uniform and some areas are subject to a higher rate increase. The lowest rate was –28 percent in Duval and the highest rate increase was 40 percent in Hendry, Franklin, Glades and Okeechobee.
There will be two sessions of the hearing, both on Sept. 28 in Davie at the Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84. The first session will begin at noon and the second will begin at 6 p.m. to accommodate policyholders' work schedules.
