Tallahassee - The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled rate hearings May 11 in Davie for input from the public concerning rate filings by Florida Peninsula Insurance Company and United Property and Casualty, which are requesting a statewide average increase of 91.8 percent and 51.1 percent. The requested rates are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher or lower rate changes.
The hearings for both companies will be at the Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84, with hearings for Florida Peninsula at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and the hearings for United Property will be at noon and 5 p.m.
