Tallahassee - The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled rate hearings May 17 in Jacksonville and May 18 in Orlando for input from the public concerning rate filings by Hanover, Auto-Owners, Amica Mutual and Security First Insurance Companies. These companies filed for statewide average increases of 27.7%, 23.1%, 22.2% and 49%, respectively. The requested rates are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher or lower rate changes.
The hearing for Hanover Companies will be in Jacksonville at the Prime F. Osborne Convention Center, 1000 Water Street on May 17 at noon. Hearings for Auto-Owners will be in Orlando on May 18 at the Hurston Building, 400 W Robinson Street, South Tower, 1st Floor, Conference Rooms C and D at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Hearings for Amica will be in the same location on May 18 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., along with Security First at noon and 7:00 p.m.
