(Note: The entities listed below no longer exist - 6/24/2011)
– The Office of Insurance Regulation has added some new pages to its website (http://www.floir.com
) that may be of interest to consumers, media and industry.
The first is a Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association (PCJUA) web page (http://www.floir.com/PCJUA/Index.htm
). The FAQ link contains answers to questions about the new PCJUA.
The next link is to the Property and Casualty Insurance Reform Committee web page (http://www.floir.com/PCIRC/index.htm
). This page contains information on Lt. Gov. Jennings' Insurance Task Force.
Finally, the Office added a link to Citizens' Wind-Only areas around the state (http://www.fwua.com/Streetdirectory.htm
) on its Hot Topics page. There, agents and policyholders can type in a street address to see if that address is in the wind pool. There is also a link on that page to a map of the wind-only areas. Please be aware that this directory is often modified and the information contained within it is subject to change.
