Statement by Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty on Selection of Cover Florida Insurers
Thursday, October 16, 2008
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – “Selecting the insurance companies that will offer Cover Florida plans is a very positive step; and I am pleased that we now are moving closer to seeing this low-cost health insurance option become a reality for Florida consumers who do not currently have health insurance.

“Gov. Crist and the Florida Legislature have worked very hard as champions of this important initiative. I commend them and the insurers that have stepped up to offer coverage options in support of Cover Florida.”
