Online Video Tutorials Now Available for CHOICES Rate Comparison System
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office) today announced the addition of two new online video tutorials for consumers to utilize as an educational resource for navigating the CHOICES Auto and Homeowners Rate Comparison System. CHOICES is an interactive program designed to give Florida residents the ability to compare automobile and/or homeowners insurance rates using sample risk scenarios created for each.
“These new online tutorials were created to assist consumers in gaining a better understanding of the many options available to them within the CHOICES system. When the time arrives to shop for auto or home insurance, I encourage all Floridians to consider accessing CHOICES and review the sample rates provided to ensure you are receiving the best value and coverage,” said Florida’s Insurance Commissioner, Kevin M. McCarty.
Consumers can access the interactive tool, “CHOICES”, and the new video tutorials through the Office’s website. There is a video tutorial available for both the auto insurance and homeowners insurance selections for CHOICES. Each provides step-by-step voice instructions on how to access and maneuver through the CHOICES system with essential information on the breakdown of statewide rates by county, the various risk scenarios consumers can choose from, and a brief description of the components within insurance policies.
In addition, a mobile version is also available for Florida’s consumers to take the CHOICES system with them on the go. Consumers can access the mobile CHOICES site by visiting http://www.floir.com/choices on any Smartphone device with internet capability.
For more information on the CHOICES system, please see the Office’s press release issued on August 16, 2012.
