Florida Office Of Insurance Regulation Sets Public Hearings For Allstate Floridian, Allstate Floridian Indemnity And Florida Select Insurance Companies

Tallahassee – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled public hearings for proposed homeowners insurance rate increases filed by Allstate Floridian and Allstate Floridian Indemnity Insurance companies and Florida Select Insurance Company.
Allstate Floridian and Allstate Floridian Indemnity hearings will be Aug. 5 in Orlando at Dr. Phillips High School, 6909 Dr. Phillips Blvd. from 1-6 p.m. and on Aug. 8 in Davie at Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84 from 1-6 p.m.
Allstate Floridian filed for increases of 18.1% and 8.7% and Allstate Floridian Indemnity filed for increases of 26.1% and 5.8%. Both companies filings were Use and File.
Florida Select will have a public hearing Aug. 9 in Miami at the Miami/Dade Chapman Center, 300 NE 2nd Ave. from 4-7 p.m.
Florida Select has requested a rate increase averaging 17.4% statewide. Florida Select's rate filing was File & Use.
All policyholders and interested parties are invited to attend the hearings.
The Florida Administrative Code (Rule 69O-166.051, F.A.C.) requires a public hearing to be held when a rate filing exceeds 15%. All three company's rate filings meet this criteria.
