Tallahassee - The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation will be conducting rate hearings April 19 in Davie for input from the public concerning rate filings by Omega Insurance Company, which is requesting a statewide average increase of 22.2 percent, and Southern Oak Insurance Company, which is requesting a statewide average increase of 24 percent. The requested rates are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher or lower rate changes.
The hearings for both companies will be at the Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84, Davie, with the Omega hearing at noon and the Southern Oak hearing at 6:00 p.m.
Interested parties may speak at the hearing. Anyone unable to attend may forward comments to Kristopher Duer at
