Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Office of Inspector General Seeks Accreditation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) Office of Inspector General will be undergoing an assessment by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation in an effort to attain accredited status. On December 10, 2019, the OIR Office of Inspector General Investigations Section will be assessed for compliance on policies and procedures, management, operations and practices. A copy of the accreditation standards is available through the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation’s website at www.flaccreditation.org. 

As part of the assessment, OIR staff and members of the public are invited to offer comments to the assessment team by writing to the following:

After the assessment team completes their review of the OIR Office of Inspector General Investigations Section, it will report back to the full Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, which will then decide if OIR’s Office of Inspector General will be granted accredited status. Participation in the accreditation process is voluntary. If granted, accreditation is valid for three years.
