Tallahassee – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued a comprehensive analysis of the post-2004 hurricane season property marketplace contrasting it with the post-Hurricane Andrew market.
"The Property Insurance Market in Florida 2004: The Difference a Decade Makes" provides an analysis of the nature of hurricanes and predictions regarding future levels of hurricane activity, the demographics of the Florida property market as they relate to hurricane risk, the economic characteristics of the property insurance market with a focus on competitive conditions and possible courses of action to address open issues.
